Ross-Tech VCDS HEX-V2 Enthusiast (3-VIN) — VW/Audi Diagnostic Interface, 1995–Current

What it is
This is a USB diagnostic interface and software license bundle from Ross-Tech, for VW/Audi Group vehicles. It's the successor to Ross-Tech's older KII, MicroCAN, and HEX-CAN interfaces. The purchase includes both the physical USB interface hardware and a full VCDS software license — no separate software purchase is needed.

VIN limit — key licensing fact
This license is locked to 3 vehicles, tracked by VIN. It is not a floating license usable across unlimited cars — once 3 VINs are registered to it, a 4th vehicle isn't covered under this license.

Vehicle coverage
VAG Group (VW/Audi/Porsche) models from 1995 through current model year, including recent years like 2016/2017.

What's explicitly NOT compatible
VW Routan and VW Crafter are excluded — this interface does not work with those two models regardless of year.

• Available USB 2.0 port or higher
• Does not work on macOS, including running Windows in a virtual machine on a Mac — this is explicitly unsupported, not just untested
