What It Is
A South Bend Clutch Stage 2 Daily clutch kit built for VWs running the G60 single mass flywheel. It's engineered for cars with horsepower modifications, rated to 330 ft-lb of torque, while keeping a stock-feeling pedal.
What's Included
What's Not Included
This kit does not include a flywheel or pressure plate bolts. It's built to run with a VW OE TDI or G60 flywheel you already have, or you can add a South Bend Clutch flywheel separately at checkout.
Where Stage 2 Daily Fits
Stage 2 Daily sits above South Bend's Stage 1 (a heavy-duty version of the stock clutch) and below their race-oriented Endurance, Drag, and Stage 3 options. It's the pick for a daily-driven TDI carrying real horsepower modifications, built for daily, street, and moderate track use rather than dedicated racing.
Important Compatibility Note
This clutch will not work with the dual mass flywheel that came stock on A4-chassis TDIs. If your car has a stock dual mass flywheel, look at South Bend's Stage 2 clutch kits built specifically for DMF applications instead.
Fitment
1998-2006 Volkswagen Golf, Jetta, Jetta Wagon, and New Beetle, 5-speed manual with a single mass (G60-style) flywheel.
Common Questions
Does this include a flywheel?
No. This kit does not include a flywheel or pressure plate bolts. It's designed to pair with a VW OE TDI or G60 flywheel, or a South Bend flywheel added separately.
Will this work with my stock dual mass flywheel?
No. This kit is built for single mass (G60-style) flywheels. If your car has the stock dual mass flywheel from an A4-chassis TDI, use South Bend's Stage 2 kit made for DMF applications instead.
How much torque can this handle?
330 ft-lb, which covers most daily-driven TDIs running tuning and injector upgrades.
Is this a harsh, race-style clutch?
No. Despite the added torque capacity, it's designed to maintain a stock pedal feel rather than an aggressive on/off engagement.
