Cylinder Head Gasket - Common Rail (2009-2014)
Please choose correct thickness. This can be determined by noting the number of circular holes on the tab protruding from the cylinder head. No need to remove the head itself to verify thickness.
Typically Victor Reinz or Elring Gasket
Tech Note:
To Determine Head Gasket Thickness - Please indicate number of circular holes (which determines thickness). DO NOT COUNT ELONGATED HOLES
If you need help determining this please let us know or use this DOCUMENT for the ALH engine.
Note: When replacing the engine block, rods, crankshaft, and especially pistons it is imperative to measure piston protrusion at TDC above the block deck in order to select the correct head gasket thickness. Projection MUST fall between .91mm and 1.20mm & have the appropriate head gasket thickness to achieve the correct compression ratio.
