What It Is
This billet aluminum discharge pipe replaces the factory plastic damper chamber on the outlet side of the turbocharger. The stock plastic piece is a known weak point under boost, and this part removes it entirely in favor of a machined aluminum pipe with a smooth bore transition from turbo outlet to hose size.
Why It's Worth Doing
What's Included
The damper pipe itself. The factory O-ring is not included but can be added at checkout if you don't already have a good one.

FAQ
What does the discharge damper actually do?
It sits on the discharge side of the turbo and is meant to quiet pulsation noise. On the factory 2.0L TDI, it's made of plastic and can crack or fail under boost, especially on tuned cars.
Does this fit my 2009 TDI?
No. The 2009 model year uses a metal damper, not the plastic one this part is designed to replace. This is for CJAA and CKRA engines with the plastic damper only.
Is the O-ring included?
No. The factory O-ring is sold separately and can be added to your order if you need one.
Will this increase horsepower on its own?
Not directly. It removes a restriction point and a common failure part on the turbo's discharge side, which matters most if you're running a tune or planning to.
What is it made of?
Billet aluminum, black anodized, machined and manufactured in the USA by Neuspeed.
