An updated version of KermaTDI's oil catch can, built to keep the intake manifold on Mk4 ALH and BEW TDI engines free of carbon buildup.

Why It's Worth Installing
Carbon buildup on the intake manifold is a real problem on these engines, expensive enough that a dealership will charge a significant amount just to clean it out. This catch can is built to prevent that buildup from forming in the first place, rather than paying to remove it after the fact.

Common Questions

Why does carbon buildup happen on these engines in the first place?
Oil vapor from the crankcase ventilation system mixes with recirculated exhaust gas and soot, and over time that residue hardens on the intake manifold and valves. This catch can traps the oil vapor before it reaches that point.

What's included in the kit?
The catch can itself, hose clamps, breather hose, AN breather fitting, and mount, plus an install guide.

Does this fit my 2005 Passat?
No, this listing covers ALH and BEW engines in the Golf, Jetta, Jetta Wagon, and New Beetle specifically. Other engines are still in testing.
