A steel replacement oil pan for the Mk4 ALH and BEW engine, now including the oil pickup tube.
Why Steel Instead of Aluminum
The factory aluminum oil pan can crack or shatter if it takes a hard impact, such as from road debris or a curb strike. A steel pan holds up to that kind of impact far better, absorbing the hit rather than failing outright.
Installation Note
This pan will require slight grinding for proper fitment. Plan for that extra step during install, and use proper sealant to prevent leaks once it's in place.

Why would I want a steel pan instead of the factory aluminum one?
