What It Is
The Bosio DLC Race 520 Stage 1 nozzle, built for extreme power TDI builds (200 hp and up). It sits just below Bosio's Race 520 Stage 2 in the lineup, and it's not intended for daily-driver or mild upgrade applications. This is a nozzle for Stage 4 and higher builds specifically.
What It's Capable Of
Built for ULSD
Like the rest of Bosio's DLC line, this nozzle uses a diamond-like carbon coating designed for today's ultra-low sulfur diesel fuel. That coating lets the nozzle needle cycle faster with more precise fuel control, and typically adds 50% or more component life compared to a non-DLC nozzle running the same fuel. New OEM sealing washers ship with every set.
Warranty and Calibration
The DLC line carries a 5 year, unlimited mileage warranty. KermaTDI strongly recommends its Injector Calibration Service alongside this nozzle. Calibration is what actually sets the nozzle up to perform as intended rather than running it uncalibrated.
Fitment
1996-2003 Volkswagen Golf, Jetta, Jetta Wagon, New Beetle, and Passat with a VE-pump TDI engine (AHU, 1Z, ALH).
Common Questions
Is this the right nozzle for my daily-driven TDI?
No. KermaTDI specifically doesn't recommend this nozzle for daily driver or low-to-moderate upgrade builds. It's built for Stage 4 and higher, extreme power setups.
How much power can this support?
140 to 230 hp with the right supporting modifications, and it has supported over 230 hp in fully built cars.
Do I need calibration with this nozzle?
Yes, KermaTDI strongly recommends it. Calibration is the only way to properly set the nozzle up for its intended performance.
What's the difference between this and the Race 520 Stage 2?
This is the Stage 1 version. Bosio's Race 520 Stage 2 sits above it in the lineup for even higher output builds.
Are sealing washers included?
Yes, new OEM sealing washers ship with every set of Bosio VE nozzles.
