What it is
This is a Kerma performance tune for the Audi Q7 3.0L TDI, model years 2009–2016. Delivery method depends on model year and ECU: OBD flash via the Q-PRO+ programmer, or bench tuning (ECU removed and mailed to KermaTDI).
Performance gains
- +50 whp, +80 wtq (dyno-measured at the wheels)
- Up to 10% MPG improvement on long-distance driving, tested after the VW/Audi emissions fix
- Improved throttle response and reduced turbo lag
- More power delivered in the mid and top RPM range
- Uses stock hardware — no supporting mods required
Which delivery method applies to your car
- Most 2009–2016 models: OBD flash via the Q-PRO+ module. Install at home; no mechanic visit needed.
- All 2009 models: Require bench tuning — the ECU must be removed and mailed to KermaTDI's tuning headquarters.
- Some 2010 models: Also require bench tuning. Check your ECU's EDC number — if it reads EDC17CP24, bench tuning is required. Call 877-537-6283 or email info@kermatdi.com to confirm before ordering if you're unsure which ECU your 2010 has.
The Q-PRO+ programmer
- Stores both stock and tuned maps — switch back to stock before a dealer visit, then re-flash after
- Requires a Windows PC. Does not work with macOS.
Requirements and limitations
- Requires the vehicle's stock emissions system to be intact. Will not function correctly with a modified or removed emissions system.
- Vehicle year/model and tuning option must be specified at checkout.

Common questions
Can I flash the tune myself on a 2009 Q7? No. All 2009 models require bench tuning — mail-in ECU, not an OBD flash.
How do I know if my 2010 Q7 needs bench tuning? Check the ECU's EDC number. EDC17CP24 requires bench tuning; other 2010 ECUs can use the OBD-flash Q-PRO+ method.
Does the Q-PRO+ work on a Mac? No, Windows only.
Will this tune work if my emissions equipment has been removed? No, it's built for the stock emissions configuration.
Is the power gain measured at the wheels or the crank? At the wheels (dyno) — 50whp/80wtq.
