These Seat Cupra R rear trailing arm bushings are special order from Europe. They will replace the squishy pedestrian stock bushings on any MK4 (A4) Volkswagen or front wheel drive MK1 Audi TT. A brief glance at the side by side photos of Cupra R bushings next to the stock MK4 bushings gives a sense of the handling capacity that the stock parts forfeit.

These bushings provide a significant handling upgrade since they offer a drastically reduced the void area as well as increased rubber durameter. This provides more rapid turn in, less body roll, less understeer, and overall makes the car handle more crisply. In contrast with poly bushings or spherical bearing kits on the market, they don't make noise on rough roads or reduce the overall comfort of the car. They require zero maintenance; no lubing or adjusting over the years. These are OE bushings made in the same factory on the same machines as the bushings that came on the Seat Cupra R; the highest iteration of the VW MK4 FWD chassis.

These bushings are the perfect compliment to cars with suspension upgrades. They are excellent for drivers who understand that a properly modified car is a complete package comprising of the powertrain, aesthetics, tactile interior items, and arguably most important...handling. The rear end of the car will feel more coupled to the tarmac and you'll never sense that the rear axle is along for the ride.

We have gone one step further for the consumer! Since proper installation is key to getting the most out of any piece of hardware, we have simplified the process. As you can see, there is a bright silver line made by us to help orient the bushing properly prior to pressing them into the beam. Simply align this line with the weld bead on the beam located at the6 o'clockposition of the sleeve you're pressing it into. When installing bushings, press from the medial openings of the beam. In other words, from the inside to outside. It is also critical that the weight of the car be allowed to rest on the suspension before torquing the bolt that pinches the bushing in the shackle. Failure to do so will result in premature failure as the center of the bush will be forced to rotate outside of its intended range of motion.

HERE's a good writeup on the installation
