The Next Generation Turbocharger for ALH/BEW engine is here!! This kerma/Borg Warner version 2 Series7 has been modified and adjusted for peak performance from our kerma engineers. We are currently supporting 156whp and 320+ torque with this turbo on our 150hp kits (Diesel Power Magazine). This turbo spools about 300 to 400rpms which is faster(sooner) than the Garret VNT17 and will support up to 180whp.
This Turbo will fit ALH and BEW engine code. The ALH will need an Adapter to fit the SMIC plumbing and the BEW will need an EGR pipe to be truly plug and play. Updated Tuning will be needed on the BEW so that the check engine light does not come on. New oil supply line is always recommended.
The Kerma S7 is brand new from Borg Warner and is modified and adjusted by kermatdi to perform correctly with the ALH/ BEW engine with our tuning. (not to be associated with other Borg Warners with similar part numbers ((results will not be the same)). There is no core deposit, and includes the Turbo Install gaslet kit.
Combine our Genuine Bosio nozzles, our Injector Calibration or Hot Swap program, chip tuning or Q Loader, and on a 5 speed transmission add the stronger Southbend clutch to create a great package. We even have a 150 HP Package that's a great combination.... or you can build the car in steps.
This turbo can ship with our exclusive, plug and play, billet aluminum, compressor outlet adapter; making this virtually a PnP upgrade for the ALH. We offer the adapter in three diameters; 1.25" (OD), 1.75" (OD) or 2" (OD). We normally ship the 1 1/4" adapter, since this is the correct size for the stock hose. If you have our Upgraded FMIC plumbing you will need to go with the 2" version, please indicate above. The new 1.75" adapter is for our upgraded SMIC plumbing kit
We Highly Recommend getting our Stainless Steel Oil Braided Supply Line as well. The stock ones are rigid and can break during removal or installation and the flexibility of the braided line makes for an easy installation.
This turbo is brand new from Borg Warner, not rebuilt and includes our extensive Turbo Installation Kit. (a $48 value). There is no core deposit.
A note to early ALH owners: This turbo requires the same support bracket and oil return line as the latest version of the VNT-15. If your car was produced before mid-2001, the turbo support bracket, oil return line, and oil return line block fitting will have to be replaced with the updated version of these parts. We do sell a retrofit kit that will help in this endeavor. If your ALH was produced after mid-2001, this is a direct install.
When installing the turbo in a BEW engine, the S7 will need to be reclocked to hook up properly to the stock BEW plumbing. We also recommend going with Kerma Tuning to remove any CEL caused by the lack of sensor on the actuator and to get the full capabilities out of the turbo.
