Brembo Rotors Sport Kit - Set of 2 Front, Drilled. (Mk4) 288mm
Brembo Sport drilled brake rotors are for drivers who want to improve the looks and performance of their vehicles original braking system without having to change additional brake components.
Brembo Sport drilled brake rotors provide excellent stopping power in everyday traffic, as well as more spirited, high performance street and highway driving.
Brembo Sport drilled brake rotors match the vehicles original equipment rotors dimensions and are fully compatible with its hubs, brake calipers and road wheels.
Front and rear Brembo Sport drilled brake rotors are available to provide a matched appearance on all four corners of the vehicle, and employ one-piece vented or solid rotors depending on the vehicles original equipment specifications.
Starting with select castings, Brembo Sport drilled brake rotors undergo the race-born practice of cross drilling to provide multiple paths to disperse built-up heat and gasses.
The Brembo Sport rotors cross-drilled holes are bi-angle chamfered at the rotors outer surfaces to help reduce the cracking caused by repeated, high stress, high temperature brake applications. Brembo Sport drilled brake rotors are sold in axle pairs. Brembo Sport drilled brake rotors are coated for corrosion resistance to help eliminate rust and to offer a bold, aggressive appearance to enhance the look of the vehicles road wheels.
Brembo Sport drilled brake rotors are designed to meet the challenges of high performance street driving while adding an authentic, race-ready look. NOTE: Light truck and SUV rotors with studs or bearings are uncoated.
NOTE: Brembo Sport drilled brake rotors are not recommended by KermaTDI for track use or intended to be used in conjunction with race compound brake pads on the street. For severe duty brake demands see Brembo Sport slotted brake rotors.
IMPORTANT REMINDER: Slotted, drilled or dimpled rotors offered as OEM replacements should not be considered appropriate for high-speed track use. While grooved, drilled and slotted rotors offer an enhanced appearance and add some resistance to the boundary layer of gasses that can build up between the pad and rotor, they are not designed to withstand the extreme temperatures that are produced on the racetrack. If they are used on the track, it is very important that the rotors be carefully inspected and should not be driven on if even minor signs of deterioration are seen. Note, too, that if any products are used on the track they are not warrantable.
NOTE: BRAKES ARE A SAFETY CRITICAL PART OF A MOTOR VEHICLE.
Brake components should be installed by a competent mechanic in a professional manner. Any incorrect installation of brake components can cause a major safety problem or an accident. If you are not a competent and qualified mechanic you should not attempt to install these products, but should take the vehicle to a vehicle dealer or competent automotive mechanic for their installation. Disc brake pads and rotors are wear items and as such, should be inspected regularly and replaced as necessary.
For vehicles with upgraded 288mm brake systems.
