Doggie Collar Intake Hose to Manifold Fix for PD Engines

What It Is
Nicknamed the "Doggie Collar" by its inventor, this device replaces the factory clip connecting the intake hose to the intake manifold on Pumpe Duse engines, and also fits some Mk5 cars where the intercooler intake tube meets the intake manifold.

Why It's Worth Installing
The factory clip and hose barb are known to wear over time, which can create a boost leak and a loss of power, often noticeable as extra smoke from the exhaust. This kit replaces that weak point with a more secure metal plate connection and a new Viton O-ring for a better seal than the original factory design.

A plate, spacers, long bolts, and a Viton O-ring.

Installation
Installs in about 10 minutes:

• Remove the intake hose to intake manifold connection and swap in the new Viton O-ring for a better seal than the factory piece
• Line up the plate so the KermaTDI logo faces the passenger side of the vehicle, since the plate isn't symmetrical
• Remove both original bolts (and retainer wire, if present)
• Install the bolt, washer, and spacer in the bottom hole and start threading it, then repeat for the top hole
• Tighten both to approximately 10 Nm. The threads may protrude slightly on the back side, which is normal

Fitment
Pumpe Duse engines including BEW, BHW, and BRM, and select Mk5 models with a similar intercooler-to-manifold connection.
