Critical Note If You're Rebuilding the Engine
If you're replacing the engine block, rods, crankshaft, or pistons, measuring piston protrusion at TDC above the block deck is essential before selecting your head gasket. That measurement needs to fall between .91mm and 1.20mm, paired with the correct gasket thickness, to land on the correct compression ratio.
